These are hard to title...

Well, we're half way through another week (little over half-way actually!!) and it's gone by pretty fast! This weekend was pretty good, although I don't really remember it! I know we didn't go to the Dog Park on Saturday because it was pouring! Actually Jamie went to his cousin's birthday party, and I went with my Mom to visit my Nana for her birthday, and to say good luck for her surgery. She underwent open heart surgery this morning to have an aortic valve replaced. My Mom and I visited this afternoon and the nurse said everything went great. She should be able to stand tomorrow, and out of the hospital in 5 days. It's crazy how advanced everything medical is. On a side note, as much as I would LOVE to be a nurse, hospitals make me QUEASY! It's funny coming from a diabetic who pokes herself several times a day, but I cannot see OTHER people's blood/ injuries. I was feeling pretty faint seeing all the IV's etc. I texted Jamie afterwards to tell him that I was glad that when we were going to have a baby, I would be the one to actually have it, not have to see it. I can deal with my own pain a lot better than seeing it happen to someone else! I would be that passed out husband on the floor of the delivery room if I was a man. Luckily Jamie has a strong stomach, (except for roller coasters) so I know he'll be just fine when that day comes!

What else is new, what else is new... OH, back to the weekend! I brought home Roxie on Saturday night, and had a bath before Jamie got home... It was some seaweedy Lush one, which turned the water a really pretty teal colour, howeverrrrr I wasn't crazy about all the seaweed floaties! Not my thing! It didn't soften my skin as much as the other ones too, boo :( Oh well, maybe I'll go back to one of my tried and true ones this weekend.

Kitchen reno is moving along nicely, we've chosen a colour called "Bella Noche"

I'm really excited for that, and especially for the integrated sink we will be getting! It will all be one piece, which will be AMAZING!!!! I'm attaching a photo of one I found off of a great blog online!

And lastly, we're using a bevel edge, which means our countertop will look like so:
The bevel edge also eliminates the need for seams in the corner which will look great! However, that doesss leave us with a seam by the sink, but the countertop guy has assured me it won't be noticeable, and not a problem with water!

And HOW DID I FORGET!! My A1C is at 6.0!!!!! One month ago it was 6.6, and the Dr encouraged me to get it to below 6.5, and now I'm at 6.0!! I have never been prouder. I wish I could avoid some of the lows I'm having, but it's all coming together finally!

Anywho, back to toddlers and tiaras. Goodnight!
