TIREDD

Soooo tireeddddd...But I feel like I should be writing about stuff, so why not.

Okay, so I am working towards going back on a pump, things are moving along and I think I'll be all set up within... 4 weeks is my guess. UGH I'm so scared! I'm excited too, because it will be awesome for control, but just so shitty having to fit it under all my clothing. I wore it for 2 days (just my old pump) and it worked okay, I figured it out. So I met with Minimed first:
The minimed pump is a lot like my old minimed pump.. I can get a bigger resivoir and it has the website where I can upload all my results so that my Dr can track everything, etc... I do have the option for the CGM, but after watching a million youtube videos I don't know if I want to do it. I think I might get it, and then just use it only occasionally when I have problems... I think I'd rather just test my blood though, it's so invasive. Maybe the new sensor will be a little bit better. Anyways, so I met with minimed and it's pretty much more of the same as before.

I met with Animas the next day and it's much 'cooler'... The pumps have prettier colours, and they have self lit screens, and all that fun stuff... They just aren't EASY for me to use.. it seems like way too many buttons to push to just do something so simple.. I mean I'm positive I would be able to figure it out, but I just don't really know if I want to.

So, I'm leaning heavily towards minimed, although now I think I should be getting an upgrde pump, instead of having to buy a brand new one. I only got my pump like 6 years ago, and we paid a lot of money for it back then.. I don't think it's fair that I have to pay full price (over $7500!!!!) for a new pump, just doesn't make sense... I was told that if I turn in my old pump, I'll get $350 towards the online store, which sells resivoirs etc.. doesn't really help though, because all fo that stuff will be purchased through the pharmacy anyways. I have been teetering almost on just keeping my old pump, but today got a phone call from Minimed saying that they have new products and for me to call them. Obviously they still consider me a customer, so I will not back down until I get an upgrade deal!

So, diabetes has been pretty much running my life, at least recently. I think about it pretty much non-stop, and it's nerve racking... Hopefully I'll have something new on my mind soon, and I can just get into my new life.

I'm about half way through my cycle, and hopefully we won't have to 'ttc' for very long.. I'm not charting or anything, but I'm just so impatient!

Anyways, not much new... just insulin stuff... Found out that my parents have like 3 months of pumping supplies at their house that I hadn't used, crazy!!! That's a lot of money right there! It's an old version, but I can use them, at least for a while.

Anywho, enough for now.. Will update soon once I get the ball rolling a little bit more!
